Dolly has been adopted by a wonderful family in Wilton, CA. Dolly will be living on acres of lush pasture land and loved on and ridden by Brenda and her daughters. Dolly's training will continue to develop and we are sure her bond with this lovely family will grow stronger every day. Congratulations!
Dolly is young and healthy 12-14 yo Missouri Fox Trotter. She has solid feet (barefoot), good teeth, healthy in every way. She’s about 14.3hh, liver chestnut with a wide blaze, white nose and white hinds. She is very light and responds to weight and leg, voice and rein. Dolly does well in a rope bridle, a Cook’s, a short shank hackamore. Her gaits are lovely, except for an occasional pace, which we have replaced with a good foxtrot. Being with Dolly at liberty in the round pen is like ballroom dancing because she is so light and responsive.
She has spent time in pasture and at one point, her best friend was a pet sow. She is used to trails and open lands and has jumped fallen trees. She’s an easy keeper and tolerates a grazing muzzle.
Dolly is just fine as an only horse. In a herd of mares she gets along with other horses. She also gets on with goats, dogs, chickens, foxes, turkeys, even a bobcat once. She is brave with people, cars, strollers, bikes, rough terrain, water, trail obstacles, trailers, etc.
