Registered paint gelding, buckskin in color, with “juvenile onset equine lordosis” (sway back which developed at four years of age). He is 15.3hh at withers and with the correct bridge padding and light saddle he can take a light rider. He is extremely gentle, kind and patient. His owner has ridden him on trail, is very light and responsive, intelligent and quick to learn. He has only had bitless bridle and a hackamore so far. He’s a very gentle horse who could also be a prospective therapy horse. Gets along well with a small herd.
Owner lost their home in the Hawaiian volcano eruption. 4 horses were shipped over to California. We have rehomed the 2 foals of Ali'i (Dam) and Frisky (Sire) and now trying to find homes for these two.
Note from previous owner: Frisky and my other 3 horses have been raised since foals with a lot of love and time as my personal pets. Before the evacuation, they were handled and groomed every day of their lives, weather permitting. They had 15 acres of year-round grazing in Kapoho, Big Island, until our ranch became isolated by lava. After they matured, they remained sleek with good weight with no supplemental feeding .
I can PROMISE that each of my horses is loving, respectful of people, gentle, and kind, enjoys schooling and learning. They do NOT respond well to rough handling as they have never been subjected to it. They have good English language understanding and responsiveness. I was a professional trainer for 30 years during my early career and my horses are encouraged to explore, stay empowered, and to want to learn new communication and behaviors.
