Quinn, an off the track Thoroughbred is looking for her new forever home. Quinn is 11 years old, 16.2 hands (and all legs!). Several years ago, after winning several races, she was taken off the track and trained for showing and jumping (see videos to the left to watch her jumping at liberty). In the fall of 2016, she was bought by a family for their daughter. They continued her training, but she is just too much horse for the 14 year old. Quinn needs a strong leader to help her be more confident. Natural horsemanship will do wonders for her.
She is a VERY easy keeper. Respectful and kind. She stands for grooming, farrier, vet. She needs to be with another horse or a herd and she is comfortable with both mares and geldings. In less than a week, she integrated nicely with a herd of 9 and spends the mornings with them grazing out in pasture.
We are assessing her extensive ground and riding capabilities and are looking forward to finding her person to bond with. We want to make sure she gets to the right forever home. Please watch the below video to the end. Starting at count 54, she prances!
