As President of the Board of Directors, Majorie brings 25 years of business ownership, operations, management, board & officer experience for several for-profit and non-profit organizations, and experience in non-profit administration & fundraising.
After joining SERRA in April 2016 as a volunteer, Marjorie felt a great inspiration to bring her passion, dedication, and skills to support the well-being, medical rehab, and training of the horses. She has great enthusiasm for their potential to live in loving, forever homes. She continues her equine education in horse health, nutrition, safety and continues her advanced training as a certified large animal emergency first responder.
Marjorie enjoyed assisting in the administrative development of SERRA and realized her desire to join the board in March 2017. In September 2017, she was elected into the position of President. As a Director, she brings 25 years of business ownership, operations and management, board and officer-level experience for several for-profit and non-profit organizations, and experience in non-profit administration and fundraising.
Marjorie is passionate about her time with the horses, dedicated in her administrative role, supportive of the efforts of the volunteers, and confident in the quality of care SERRA gives to the animals. “I am proud to be a co-leader of an ethical, transparent organization dedicated to its mission, training techniques, loyal volunteers and the well-being of rescued horses.”
