Chipmunk has been a string trail horse for most of his life, providing countless joyful days to hundreds of would-be horse enthusiasts who visited Northern California or lived nearby.

 

Now in his senior years (he's 23), after giving all he had for the enjoyment of vacationers and weekend visitors, Chipmunk is dreaming of his forever foster home. He told us about a dream he had last night….’someone adopted me and they had a pasture that I went out to each day with other horses and a nice cozy barn that I could lay down at night to rest my knee….’
