SERRA - Sonoma Equine Rescue Rehab & Adoption

Saving one horse at a time...

Welcome to Sonoma Equine Rescue, Rehab & Adoption.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place horses in responsible and caring homes. We also provide diverse resources for public education and training regarding horses and responsible equine ownership.  Read more about our mission here.
Sonoma Equine Rescue Rehab and Adoption (SERRA) survives because of the kindness of donors.  Whether it is a cash donation, or a donation in kind, we gratefully accept all tax deductible donations, grants and gifts from kind individuals, enlightened businesses and philanthropic organizations.  Read more about the kinds of donations that could assist us in furthering our mission of rescuing, rehabbing and rehoming these beautiful horses.

serra news...

WELCOME QUINN!
Quinn has just arrived at our rescue.  She is an 11 year old Thoroughbred mare looking for her new forever home.  After her racing career she was trained for showing and jumping and most recently trained with a young girl but was just too much horse for her.  Quinn needs a strong leader to help with her confidence.  Natural horsemanship will do wonders for her.  She’s healthy and sound and ready to learn.  She has blended in nicely with the rest of our herd. Come meet her and you won't be able to resist her.

SERRA HAS A NEW HOME!
Located on scenic Crane Canyon Road in Santa Rosa, SERRA's horses have a new home.
Please read more about the new ranch and view some photos of the construction.

"Taming Wild" Film Screening and Fundraiser
Thank you to all who came to our fundraiser and showing of 'TAMING WILD' on June 10.  It was an enjoyable
film and Q&A with Elsa Sinclair bringing new awareness for the SERRA rescue and natural horsemanship, and a successful fundraiser for us.  We are very grateful for your support of the rescue!
